Benefits to patients The NHS App also has access to a number of other services including symptom checkers, NHS 111 and online consultations and is widely described as ‘a digital front door to GP practice services’. order repeat prescriptions, from a list of available medicines, and choose the dispensing pharmacy.
How to access digital prescriptions through the NHS App
- Tap your health on the bottom of the App and select view and manage prescriptions.
- Select your approved prescriptions.
- Select the prescription you want to view. If you do not have a nominated pharmacy you can generate a prescription barcode for collection.
In the NHS App, patients will be able to:
- see their appointments, clinic letters, blood test results.
- request to change or cancel their appointment.
- complete forms or questionnaires before and/or following an appointment.
- record symptoms in a health journal.
- access resources shared by health and care services.
